"I need some queen photos taken..."

When I received a short inquiry that ended with that line, I wasn't quite sure what to expect.  Turns out, Miss Peyton is the Miss Madison County Fair Queen 2015, and she wanted some fun, non-traditional fair queen shots!  If you know me, you know I jumped on a session with a beautiful girl, a little country and glam, and the opportunity to step outside of the box. I was excited to oblige (she is the QUEEN, after all)!!  :)

Peyton's a pig girl like my son, my brother, and so many other kids I've watched grow up around them.  So, I had no doubt I was going to love her!  And, I was right.  She was a sweetheart and a natural in front of the camera!

We even dropped by the fairgrounds for her session.  My children grew up around livestock, and the Madison County Fair has become a family tradition.  Looking around, I had to smile.  The day of the shoot was a stark contrast to the days we've spent up at the fair.  It was a very cold morning, which is nothing like the weather in July around here.  And, it was quiet...empty barns and silent showrings.  It was peaceful and beautiful...but I am not gonna lie...I can't wait to complain about the heat while I'm surrounded by music from the bands and the carnival rides, the voices of the judges in the ring, the laughter from the children, and all of the moos and snorts and cockadoodledoos!!

Peyton...Congratulations on being the Madison County Fair Queen for 2015!  Thank you for choosing me to capture this for you, and may all your dreams come true!
